Cold Front

A washed-out PI takes a widow's case about a brass key her dead husband left behind. The key opens a quiet little blackmail operation; what the player does with the contents is the whole story. A tight single-case mystery designed to fit in one sitting.

The first version where one engine could hold many games. The system was no longer locked to one story.

The Tone

Dark cold-weather noir. Hard-boiled, melancholy, restrained.

1. Made it so one engine could hold many games — each game gets its own folder.
2. Added a notes file so the AI could remember where it left off between sessions.
3. Built a short form for describing a new game, so the AI could turn the idea into something it could build.
